The CORD Kushalnagar team warmly welcomed Mr. Steven Cutting, a faculty member from the Asian Rural Institute (ARI), Japan, during his visit to the region.
Upon arrival, Mr. Cutting was received by Asha(2017 ARI graduate) and Shamanthakka David(CORD Board Member) at CORD Kushalnagar, underscoring the deep collaboration between ARI and CORD in empowering rural communities. Later in the afternoon, he visited Gowdanakatte and Ranigate, where he met Muthu Lingappa, an ARI graduate from the 2004 batch. Both Asha and Muthu were nominated and sent by CORD to undergo this transformative training, which equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable rural development, leadership, and community empowerment.
The visit reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between ARI and CORD, highlighting their shared commitment to rural leadership and sustainable development. Mr. Cutting’s engagement with past trainees emphasized the continued impact of ARI’s training programs in fostering grassroots change.
