Kowshik and Yogesh: Overcoming Adversity Through Education

Kowshik and Yogesh, brothers from Somwarpet Taluk, have faced immense challenges after the loss of their father six years ago. At that time, both were still in school, and the family was left to rely solely on their mother, who was working as a field staff member for CORD's Childline program. However, after the program ended, their mother struggled to find stable employment, leaving the family in a difficult financial position and jeopardizing the boys' ability to continue their education.
Despite these hardships, Kowshik and Yogesh have remained committed to their academic pursuits. Kowshik is currently in his second year of an MSc in Computer Science, while his younger brother Yogesh has just begun his first year in a BSc Computer Science program. Their shared passion for technology and learning has driven them to overcome their difficult circumstances.
With no other financial support available, CORD has been helping Kowshik and Yogesh continue their education for the past three years. Our assistance ensures that they can focus on their studies and build a better future for themselves, despite the obstacles they have faced.
